Dräger

For over two decades, Geo has worked in close partnership with Dräger, supporting the development of critical safety equipment used by professionals operating in some of the world’s most demanding environments. Since the late 1990s, this collaboration has spanned multiple generations of products, each shaped by a shared commitment to performance, reliability, and user-centred design.

Our relationship with Dräger is built on trust, continuity, and a deep understanding of both their technical requirements and the end users who depend on their products every day. Rather than one-off engagements, this has been an evolving partnership — one that has allowed ideas, processes, and knowledge to mature over time.

History

Geo’s collaboration with Dräger began in the late 1990s and has continued steadily ever since, encompassing around 20 projects across respiratory protection and personal safety equipment. Over the years, we’ve worked alongside Dräger’s internal teams to support product evolution, platform updates, and the development of entirely new systems.

This long-term relationship has allowed us to develop a detailed understanding of Dräger’s design language, engineering standards, and manufacturing expectations. It has also enabled a highly efficient way of working - where decisions are informed by experience, risks are anticipated early, and products are developed with confidence from concept through to manufacture.

Impact

Over decades of collaboration, Geo’s work with Dräger has contributed to the development of safety-critical systems that firefighters and emergency responders depend on in life-threatening environments. These products are not simply designed to perform - they are engineered to work every time, under extreme physical stress, heat, contamination, and pressure.

By combining deep technical understanding with a relentless focus on the end user, this partnership has helped ensure that firefighters can concentrate fully on their job, confident that their equipment will function exactly as intended when it matters most. Design decisions are informed not only by standards and specifications, but by how products are worn, handled, maintained, and relied upon in real-world conditions.

The longevity of this relationship has allowed knowledge to accumulate across generations of products - refining usability, improving robustness, and reducing risk through thoughtful engineering and proven design solutions. The result is equipment that supports safer working practices, operational confidence, and ultimately, the protection of lives: both of those wearing the equipment and those they are working to save.
